Dhoom 3 sets a new record
Dhoom 3 is also doing extremely well in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Sources say that the film is going to set a new record among Hindi films that are dubbed in Telugu. As per the latest reports in Bollywood, Dhoom 3 has collected a net of Rs 107.61 crores in its opening weekend in India. Considering that the film reportedly released in nearly 4500 screens in India alone and the hype surrounding the film, it’s easy to see why the film has done such phenomenal business. However, what’s even more astonishing is that, the film has collected nearly Rs 63 crores in overseas markets.
Dhoom 3 became the first Indian film to break in to the top 10 grossing films in US this weekend. As per Taran Adarsh, a leading Bollywood trade analyst, the film has collected Rs 170.56 crores in its opening weekend. Vijay Krishna Acharya had directed the film and Aditya Chopra had produced it under Yash Raj Films banner. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra had also played lead roles in this action thriller.
Nara Rohit to team up with Parasuram again
This year, Nara Rohit had only one release, Okkadine, which failed to click at the box-office upon its release in February. However, there are as many as five films which are lined up for release in 2014, including Shankara, Prathinidhi, Madrasi, Rowdy Fellow and another film in Karthikeya’s direction. Apart from these films, Nara Rohit is also going to act in a film by Sateesh and Parasuram next year.
Meanwhile, the actor has revealed that he’s going to produce two films and one of them will have actor Sri Vishnu (Royal Raju from Prema Ishq Kadhal) in lead role. Mario is the film’s title and Karthik Ghattamaneni is producing it. Nara Rohit will himself act in the second film that’ll be produced under his home production. With so many projects in hand, it looks like Nara Rohit has huge plans for 2014.

Popular Bhojpuri actor, Ravi Kishan is reportedly playing a negative role in this action entertainer whereas Saloni is playing an important role. Surender Reddy is directing the film and Nallamalapu Bujji is producing the film. S S Thaman is scoring the music. The film is expected to hit the screens in early 2014.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s next film in Trivikram Srinivas’ direction will go on floors either in late January or early February. The duo had earlier teamed up for Julayi, which went on to become the biggest hit in Allu Arjun’s career.

Hansika is the heroine in the film and a second heroine’s name will be announced soon. The film is expected to hit the screens in summer 2014. Rockline Venkatesh is producing this movie and this film marks his entry into Telugu film production.

Will 7th film senti work for Ram Charan?
Yevadu which has been lying in cans for more than 6 months has a reason to cheer out for. 7 proved to be a lucky number for top stars of Telugu cinema. Kushi, Okkadu and Simhadri are the seventh films of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and NTR respectively. Ram Charan’s Yevadu too his 7th film if you consider bilingual Zanjeer/Thoofan to be one. The presence of Allu Arjun is going to be an added advantage. Music scored by Devi Sri Prasad has become popular. Naayak which was released for 2013 Sankrathi has become hit. Yevadu is going to release for Sankranthi 2014. A full song from each of these films were leaked illegally on the internet in the end of 2012. We have to wait and see if the 7th film and leaked song sentiment works well for Ram Charan and Yevadu when the film releases for the Sankranthi of 2014.

Mahesh's Rocking Still in '1' Calendar!
Touted to be a suspense and action entertainer, '1' movie was directed by Sukumar. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music of the movie. Bollywood model Kriti Sanon has done opposite to Mahesh. Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta have produced the movie on 14 Reels Entertainment. The movie is gearing up for release on 10th January.

Biryani Movie Review
In the Movie Biryani: Story begins with introduction to playboy character of Sudheer (Karthi), who can flat any girl desired by his innocent friend Parasu (Premgi Amaren). Both of them work for Mahidra Tractors where Sudheer’s brother-in-law is also employed. There is also a sweet cute love story between Sudheer and TV reporter Priyanka (Hansika). In to non-linearity of story, there is corrupt businessman Varadarajulu (Nasser) and his relative Venkata Krishna (Ramky) impressed with Sudheer’s clever attitude.
On a cursed night, Sudheer and Parasu searching for Biryani Restaurant get caught in a murder trap. They follow one sexy lady Maya (Mandy Thakar) to a hotel room and spend the entire night boozing. Waking up morning in hang over, Sudheer and Parasu are caught by Police for kidnapping/murdering/missing of Varadarajulu. Meanwhile, CBI Officer Riyaz (Sampat) is assigned the duty to break the jinx. What is the plot behind? Who is Maya? What did a hit woman (Uma Riyaz Khan) has a role to play in this story? All these form the rest.
Values of the Movie Biryani: Hero Karthi’s performance, gripping episodes in pre-interval and second half are real life lines. The treatment offered by director Venkat Prabhu in cooking the film as comedy-romantic-thriller is definitely appreciable. Problem is Venkat could not balance the portions evenly. Script had few drawbacks decelerating the final punch. When it comes to Venkat’s professionalism in handling the thriller elements mixed with action, he was fine. It’s again the climax left unconvinced and much more expected. Sakthi Saravanan’s camera work is brilliant and inspiring with the mood. Editing wise, Praveen and Srikanth provided few sharp cuts which can be enjoyed by viewers. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background is into the major league and songs wise, just average. Seshank Vennalakanti dialogues were fragmentally hilarious. Production values of Studio Green can be acknowledged.
Into performance part, Karthi has got a character with three shades. First he plays cool as playboy then transforms into confusion with the hangover and then, the third one shows his intensity to save family and friends. A bit of melodrama added into the pre climax wasn’t so necessary. Hansika did not have much to do. Ramky, Sampath did justice with the serious characterizations. Nasser is into his usual routine. Premgi Amaren is the real example of Aravam Athi, though good at times. Mandy Thakar is absolutely hot and hard to handle.
Out of the Movie Biryani: Still and all, Venkat is inspired from Hangover. Yet, he added those typical South Indian spices to bake this hot recipe of ‘Biryani.’ However, the dose and quantity of spices was uneven. Actually, film begins like a regular romantic comedy. Just before the pre interval, it speeds up sliding into a thriller. Then, Venkat succeed in managing the most of things in second half except climax. Presence of some loose ends could not deliver the right flavor of a strife thriller despite the presence of kick ass twists and turns. For front benchers, the black comedy between Mandy Takhar, Premgi and Karthi is a spicy crack. Song canned on these three was also innovative. The way suspense unfolds in second half was also dealt finer even though regular audiences are confused by the cunning levels of director.
In contempt of all the good and bad, ‘Biryani’ can be a worth to watch once on this weekend. The format selected by Venkat Prabhu in narrating the thin storyline might be more adored by Tamil public than Telugu. Overall, this ‘Biryani’ is yummy in parts.

Meanwhile, nani's 'Paisa','Janda Pai Kapiraju' and 'Aha Kalyanam' are gearing up for release soon. 'Paisa' was directed by Krishnavamsi and was produced by Ramesh Puppala. Catherine Tresa shared the screen space with nani. 'Janda Pai Kapiraju' was directed by Samuthirakani while Amala Paul took the responsibilities. His Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie, 'Aha Kalyanam' was directed by Gokul Krishna. Vani Kapoor is the female lead of the film.

The makers have uploaded the third feeler of 'Rey' on 22nd of December. This feeler appears to be a big gift for mega fans as the star power of all the mega heroes have been mentioned in the lyrics of this song. Great War of 'Baahubali' Begins!
100 Killings scene of 'Magadheera', as of now, is said to be the best ever war sequence in the history of Telugu cinema. The director of the movie, Rajamouli targeted to beat his own record with his new film 'baahubali', as he planned a war sequence in the movie. The ground work for this episode was started some months ago. And now, it is reportedly learnt that the filming of this war episode has been started in Ramoji Film City. The filming of this episode maybe extended upto to the March of next year.
Starred by Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamannah 'baahubali' is touted as a period drama. Keeravani is composing the music of the film. Prasad Devineni and Sobhu Yarlagadda are producing the movie on Arka Media Works.
Great Response to D For Dopidi Preview Shows.
Looks like the gamble played by the makers of d for dopidi has paid off. They took a risk and conducted premier shows in Vizag and Vijayawada and they got a tremendous response from both the cities. The film is garnering a lot of positive buzz and has got a hit talk across after the premier shows, due to this that the makers have got calls from the lesser known territories like south Africa and the middle east to release the film there. The film’s cast and crew held their audio platinum disc function in front of over 30,000 people at the stadium where Tollywood vs Bollywood match was held in Vizag recently.

Dhoom 3 Review
In the Movie Dhoom 3: Nothing so special, it is again about Great India Circus clown Sahir (Aamir Khan) goes on to plan the robberies of banks in Chicago. To catch him, the team of ACP Jai Dikshit (Abhishek Bachchan) and Ali Akbar (Uday Chopra) with Victoria (Tabret Bethell) also take the co-operation of Chicago cops. The well sketched snatchings and accomplished tasks leave Jai and team in dire shock. It’s the time when Sahir and Jai come face to face and Sahir leaves the clue. Yet, Jai and Ali are clean bowled by the play of Sahir.
In retaliation, Jai intrudes into circus with fake identity to dig in the actual mystery behind. To his shock, there is also a mentally less expressive Samir (Aamir Khan), twin brother to Sahir playing the game cleverly. For insiders, they are two while for outsiders there is only one that is Sahir. Jai plays the spoilt game of bringing Sahir’s dance partner Aliya (Katrina Kaif) into Samir’s romantic life to disturb the unity in twin brothers. However, what is the interesting flashback of Sahir, Samir and why did they choose Banks as their target? Did Jai, Ali outwitted the charm of Sahir, Samir?
Values of the Movie Dhoom 3: The USP of ‘Dhoom’ has been high octane action sequences filled with lots of thrilling bike and car chases. Luckily, makers have this time added the edge of emotional quotient and perfect story line to bring the best from Aamir Khan. As director Vijay Krishna Acharya is a writer by profession, may be for the first time we can see superb writing ever enjoyed in ‘Dhoom’ series till date. Sudeep Chatterjee’s camera work is just breathtaking and the best seen in recent times on par with Hollywood standards. Ritesh Soni editing was just classically functional. Background score of Julius Packiam is packed with bundles of energy. Every time, we hear the theme music of ‘Dhoom’ with Aamir lifting the bike, its goose bumping. Pritam’s score for songs is also wonderfully canned. Also action wise, this is a better quality than first two. Then, production values of Yash Raj Films are mind altering.
What to say about performance when Aamir Khan slipped into the two characters with ease. He outshines everybody on screen, may it be action or drama. The way interval bang is conceived with the crucial twist of twin brothers is revealed, Aamir was outstanding. In simple, nobody can do as good justice as Aamir for the characters of Samir and Sahir. The contrast levels showed in both are significantly shown. Katrina Kaif is beautiful and her romantic track with Aamir did not come out satisfactory. Abhishek Bachchan was no different and Uday Chopra provided the relief.
Out of the Movie Dhoom 3: Primary advantage for ‘Dhoom 3’ to work wonders at Box Office is it is far better than the first two in series. While the first two have done the magic for slick action and stylish presentation, this third movie has the real content and storyline. If John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan are utilized for their romantically best qualities, Aamir is a performer and thus producers pulled the best to offer us the best. Problem for ‘Dhoom 3’ is with the run time of almost 3 hours.
Commercially, Bollywood films are faring extra ordinary these days. When it’s the package of superb performances, awesome stunts, visual grandeur, energetic music, enchanting glamour and engrossing story, why cannot we speculate ‘Dhoom 3’ as the next highest grossing film of Indian cinema? Kudos Vijay Krishna Acharya for offering an ultra cool flick which can be enjoyed equally by audiences of all genres and all ages.
